Some things just take time.

If you are anything like me then this will not be easy to read, process, and accept. But it is a reality we all must own up to at some point. Great, now let’s get to it.

Some things in life just take time. Some things cannot be rushed no matter how much we would like them to. And if you are not a very patient person then things will be harder for you to accept. Hence making you more irritated and anxious. Now I will never be the one to tell you that “anything worth having is worth fighting for” because none of us want to hear all that. We know, we know!! We have all heard it before. Sigh. However, it is true. Hmm. The good things do take time and plenty of patience. Fixing your credit for example is tedious. The process is long but in the end, the results are great. Going to school for a degree in something you are passionate about will also take some time but in the end, you feel so accomplished for attaining your goal. You can rush things along or try to at least, but the end results will just be a great mess. And starting over is no fun. Now that we have come to terms with that we can proceed. Here is an exercise I would like you to try. Get a very clear picture of yourself. Think about where you are right now. Your career, personal life, spiritual life, and even finances. Are you where you would like to be? Are you taking steps to get better? Now think, are you being patient with your progress? Are you giving yourself enough time to heal from that disappointment? That break up? That roadblock? Or do you beat yourself up about the little things you could have done better? If yes, then you need to stop right now. Let this be your warning sign. Do not rush your progress. You will see results. Keep putting in that work. Keep trying. Keep finding new ways to grow and improve and soon enough it will all come together. The process doesn’t last forever, but it just might take some time.

Affirmation: Today I will not rush!
